Title: Lost & Found #3_Medium: oil on canvas_Size: 180 cm X 110 cm_Year: 2013
Unlike those posh apartments on property ads, my bathroom is crowded with piles of dirty clothes, old toilet bowl and abandoned buckets, which I used to contain water or store food. The bathroom room is a metaphorical representation of my state of living. Like majority of working class in nowadays society, I produce, consume and dispose, within a narrow and robotic space, both physically and mentally. A Pikachu which contributes nothing to the practicality appears dartingly out of place. Yet, it symbolizes dream, innocence and values that I insistently place in my life. Sitting caged, it also poses questions about meaning of life to the audience.
